When your tags are not firing properly, follow these troubleshooting steps.
- Have the container and tag been enabled?
- Is the tag code written correctly?
- Are your rules set up properly?
- Visual Tagger: Is the element present on the page?

Have the container and tag been enabled?
Check your container and tag to make sure they are enabled.
For containers, Status should be set to Enabled.
For tags, Fire in production should be set to Enabled.
Is the tag code written correctly?
Check that your tag's code is written correctly.
Are your rules set up properly?
Check your rules to make sure the activity period, schedule, conditions, and rate limiting is set correctly.

Visual Tagger: Is the element present on the page?
If your tag has a visual component, check that the element is present on the page.

Have you verified the container code installation?
To make sure your container code is installed properly, click Verify code installation in the container editor.
If you have followed all of these troubleshooting steps and your tags are still not working correctly, please contact your development team.
